Bravo! As NPF rescues woman who threatens to commit Suicide on Facebook

The Nigeria Police Force Anambra State Command has on Wednesday announced that they rescued a middle-aged, names and address withheld for security reasons, who via her Facebook page threatens to take her life.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, explained that investigations carried out by men of the Nigerian Police indicated that the depressed woman who threatens to commit suicide was in a problematic marriage and has being seeking divorce.

Mohammed reported that the Nnewi Area Commander had reached out to the woman and had learnt that she was facing some family problems; the PPRO however pointed that even though the woman’s problem was personal, it would be risky to allow her handle the situation on her own because she was becoming suicidal.

According to the Police Public Relation Officer the woman in question, have been invited for counseling by the Area Commander Nnewi, who has also reached out to the woman’s husband for counseling as well.
