The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has in a recent release explained the reasons why the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomole, hates him so much.

This disclosure was made through Obaseki’s spokes person, Crusoe Osagie, who claimed that Oshiomole in a bid to save his political career has became frustrated. However, the statement was in response to an earlier release by Oshiomole that he regretted supporting obaseki to become Edo State Governor in 2016.

Obaseki reiterated that Oshiomole was only making baseless accusation after he discovered he could not hijack the present administration, he went on to accuse Oshiomole of giving out a contract at the Edo State Specialist Hospital to a friend of his who fail to execute the project.

The Edo State Governor who is currently seeking a second term Bid declare that his predecessor is clutching at straws in desperate effort to save his drowning political career, he went on to elucidate that the childish Mercedes and Toyota analogy goes to show that Oshiomhole has run out of lies to tell.

“He has failed to answer a simple question which is; why did heavily guarded trucks come in the dead of the night to remove the equipment in the hospital which President Buhari had commissioned just one day after the commissioning?

“Why was the hospital not opened to the public for the remaining days of his tenure after the hospital had been commissioned?” said Obaseki.

He stated that Oshiomhole told the hospital equipment supplier in Lagos “to loan him some equipment just for the commissioning and the equipment was returned to the owner after the commissioning ceremony”.

The Governor insisted that Oshiomhole’s problem stemmed from his Obaseki’s refusal to allow him use the government “for the satisfaction of his warlords and thugs who are now fighting for him and causing crisis in Edo state ahead of the election.”

Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will  contest against Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on September 19.
