A student of the Obafemi Awolowo University has taken his own life after drinking poison yesterday 24th February 2020

An ex-student of Great Grace private School Alumnus and currently schooling at Obafemi Awolowo University identified as Oboh Emmanuel has died.
According to information shared by a friend, Thompson on Facebook, the OAU student died as a result of academic depression.
Thompson said Oboh drank otapiapia (local poison) which led to his death.

According to reports, the student, popularly known among his peers as “biggy”,drank a poisonous substance to put an end to his life because of reasons related to academics.

It is worthy of note that Oboh Emmanuel is the third OAU student to commit suicide in the space of just twelve months. We at Eagle’s Post sympathize with his family, friends and the general OAU community. We enjoin students not to think about suicide as an option at all , it isn’t a way out of depression, instead, they should consult trained personnels in guidance and counselling, psychotherapy and psychology fields . We pray God grants the Emmanuel’s parents the fortitude to bear the loss.

He wrote: “Emmanuel took his life out of depression (Academics)..

I use to envy dis young man in Secondary schools

Rest in Peace Oboh Emmanuel”
