Why APC Is Getting Worse Under Oshiomole – Party Chieftain

The director-general of the forum in a memo notes that the crisis in the APC is getting worse by the day. Salihu Lukman says Oshiomhole can no longer provide the needed leadership for the APC to win elections Salihu Lukman, the director-general of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, has blamed Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the crisis in the party.

Lukeman in a memo sent to the reconciliation committee chaired by Bisi Akande said the crisis in the party is getting worse by the day, The Cable reports.

Salihu Lukman says Oshiomhole can no longer provide the needed leadership for the APC to win elections. The party chieftain stated that the APC national working committee (NWC) led by Oshiomhole can no longer provide the needed leadership to win elections for the party because of the chairman’s level of intolerance.

He said the NWC under Oshiomhole allows political opponents to get electoral victory. Lukeman stated that Oshiomhole does not condone any disagreement or criticism expressed against any of his decisions and carries out punitive actions against anyone that criticizes him. Meanwhile, Thomas Okosun, a chieftain of the APC and former speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly has reacted to the ongoing rift between Adams Oshiomhole and Governor Godwin Obaseki. The APC chieftain alleged that Obaseki has issued orders for Oshiomhole to be killed.

Okosun who made the allegation during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics said: “Before this time, the governor has threatened that each time Comrade (Oshiomhole) comes to Edo state, he has given orders that he should be dealt with. “What you saw yesterday was an attempt to actually implement that instruction for the governor to deal with Adams Oshiomhole, his predecessor in office. His high demand is that he should be killed.”
