Yahoo boy confined American lady in Lagos hotel defrauds her of N18.5m

Men of the Nigeria police force has rescued a citizen of the United State of America, who was reportedly confined against her wish in an hotel in Lagos by a Yahoo boy for over one year.
News4Naija gathered that the victim arrived in Nigeria on the 13th of February 2019 from Washington DC, to pay a visit to Chukwuebuka Obiaku, a 34-year-old native of Ikeduru LGA of Imo State.
The victim who was a retired civil servant said she had met Obiaku on Facebook, she reported that the culprit took control of her credit and debit card as well as her bank accounts.

Obiaku according to a news source defrauded the American of N18.5 million and took the receipts of her American monthly retirement benefits and allowances for about fifteen months.
Confirming the Incident the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) in Lagos State, DCP Frank Mba, in a statement on Saturday announced that investigations have shown that Obiaku, a graduate of Business Administration and Management, is an internet fraudster who had defrauded many people both locally and internationally.

According to the PPRO the culprit lured the American into the Country on the pretext of love and deceitfully married her on the 15th of May 2019, after which he held her captive in a hotel defrauded her of her money worth about $48,000 which is approximately N18.5 million.
The Statement revealed that the suspected Yahoo boy used his victim as a tool to defraud her associates and foreign companies, the police boss however reiterated that Obiaku had detained his victim for fifteen months.
